Molten Salt Thermal Unit Design

Carbon Lock Tech is seeking a design for an electric thermal unit capable of heating and circulating molten salt in a closed loop system at high temperatures. The primary goal is to efficiently transfer heat to a reactor, while ensuring reliable and safe operation. This project offers learners the opportunity to apply their knowledge of process design, heat transfer, pump/pipe design, material selection, instrumentation, valving and controls. The project is ideal for candidates with process or chemical engineering experience, particularly with thermal systems and fluid flow.
